About Scott McArthur
Growing up in Lanark, Scott McArthur's love for rock was ignited by the compilation album Axe Attack. His first concert at the Glasgow Apollo — Judas Priest in November 1981 — changed his life. In 2002, alongside Andy Muir, he founded glasgowapollo.com, the definitive digital archive of Scotland's premier rock venue (1973–1985), documenting setlists, performance dates and thousands of fan memories. He runs the Apollo Choir Facebook group, now home to fans scattered across the globe who share ticket stubs, photos and memories of seeing their heroes on the famous twelve-foot-tall stage. A passionate advocate for Scottish rock history and a key figure in keeping the Apollo's spirit alive for future generations.
